I paid more than 500,000 almost 600,000. But i just feel it was still
quite expensive. The room is quite nice, and the air conditioner is very
good. The bed is comfy, and the bath room is quite nice.
But, hot water is not operated properly. Often we have to asked the receptionist so they turn on the hot water.
The breakfast is not very special, quite disappointment in fact.
But overall, Serena Hotel is quite nice and very strategic.

ohh.. expensive~
This hotel has a great location across the road from the train station.
It is down a small laneway so it is away from the noise of the trains
and the traffic. The staff were very friendly and helpful even though
they looked so young! The room prices are quite expensive i arrived late
at night with no booking and it was no problem to get a room. The decor
was very dark and old fashioned. The room wasnt as clean as it could
have been. The bathroom was very questionable! I was travelling in the
wet season and one day there was a particularly bad storm, the rain
water was running down the walls in my room luckily I noticed it in time
and managed to move my stuff before it got damaged! I mentioned it to
staff in reception and I was told Id be allowed move rooms, but nobody
came. I ended up mopping up the water with the towels in my room.
Breakfast is included in the price but its not very impressive. Rice,
noodles bread and jam. The day I was there the toaster was broken! I
dont drink tea but the coffee was vile so Im sure the tea was the same!
The restaurant had very limited choices for food...but the locals
selling foods from the carts on the lane or in the train station carpark
were very good! I definately think this hotel is way too expensive for
the quality you receive..
“A little art-deco gem”
Bandung has experienced a new burst of popularity as a shopping
destination for Malaysian tourists flying in on a budget airline. Yet
Bandung's main tourist drawcard remains its astonishing collection of
colonial architecture. The city is famous amongst architects for its
'tropical art-deco' heritage, dating from the 1920's and 1930's. At this
time a number of ingenious Dutch architects were designing buildings in
the latest European styles and adapting them to the tropical climate.
Modern Bandung may be a far cry from its heyday as the 'Paris of Java'
but it still boasts several hundred colonial buildings and these are
well worth seeking out.
Tiga Warna dates from 1938 and is designed in the 'ocean liner' school of art-deco, with long lines and rounded curves. It is a stunning piece of modernist architecture with bright airy spaces, a fine porch and stylish curves. It is something right out of an architectural design magazine. Until a couple of years ago it remained derelict but it has now been occupied by a bank and the restoration has been sensitive. The building has been repainted but its design has been left untouched. You can find this beautiful art-deco building on the corner of Jalan Juanda and Jalan Sultan Agung.
