ok first things first, as i mentioned in my post last friday, after work we headed to a little launch party for Chelsea Cardinal, held at a lovely flower shop in brooklyn where she was showing off her latest valentines day cards and beautifully-braided silk necklaces. i just had to have one and was so excited to wear it today! the bonus on this beautiful bauble are the two tiny bells which add a ‘hi im here!’ pep to every step. i can’t wait to see what Chelsea comes up with next! i also determined that a fiddle leaf fig is the perfect winter house plant for our aesthetic!
the necklace was also the inspiration for the rest of the outfit — adding pretty colored textures that matched the silk thread throughout.
so tonight is the actual night of the Paper Magazine Tumblr fashion week party; not to be confused with me thinking it was last night. i’ll be attending with my sister and MTV’s TJ and Young Fat and Fabulousnamesake Gabi (love her)to support Tumblr’s top 20 fashion bloggers, who are leading fashion week coverage for the site. truth be told, i’ll really just be there with bells on (seriously, im wearing bells!) for Sara, who as i tell you constantly, is one of the best fashion bloggers out there and a person im lucky enough to call a friend!
but before i go, im sipping on a cocktail and eating pizza and swinging my purse with excitement (see below) at work for a little Watson viewing party! i may not have told you previously, but one of my other clients is IBM and they built this insane Jeopardy machine to beat humans at the game, its crazy! bye and see you tomorrow! xoxo
